As we all know, Easter is right around the corner and I’m sure we are all looking forward to the piles and piles of chocolate that we will find in the depths of our garden- probably at least one of the pieces of chocolate you find will be from last year that no one found. But why do we associate our Easter Sunday with chocolate?
Well, giving eggs at Easter is a tradition that has been going on for over 700 years to symbolise life and rebirth, but nowadays we give chocolate and confectionary items that usually aren’t even in egg shapes! This has changed over time because companies find better recipes and more interesting shapes that will draw customers in more.
All in all, different people celebrate Easter in different ways, with chocolate or without.
